My root in purebred dogs is deep.  My great-grandmother, Ana, in Boston Terriers, my
grandparents, Esther and Frank, continuing with Bostons and adding Chows.  My mother, Lois,
was Best Junior Handler at the Chicago Kennel Club with a Boston Terrier in 1937.  With WW II
came a temporary end to AKC events and my family breeding programs.  My mom married and
her interest shifted to the obedience ring.  I, however, was always dragging her over to watch
the Irish Setters.

At sixteen my wish came true and I received a beautiful Irish Setter bitch out of the great Ch.
Blaneywood Country Squire.  This introduced me to my mentors, Larry Downey, Cindy and
Brian Meyer, Clay Coady and George Huffman.  I asked questions, listened carefully and made
myself useful.

In 1995, after 20 years in the Health Care profession and showing my own dogs, I was slowly
moving toward being my own boss and pursuing a career in handling.

Above all things, the safety and care of your beautiful show dog comes first.  My Box truck has
duel AC units... comfortably laid out with living quarters for myself and stainless steel crates for
the dogs.  I am always with my charges so it is easy to see to their needs.  I live on 7 acres of
rolling Tennessee land... fenced and cross-fenced, located on a dead end road.  I have a
training ring, treadmill and stainless steel bathing tub.  I use Isle of Dog grooming products
since it was first introduced to the United States...  only the best.

I have shown dogs from all seven groups but specialize in the Sporting breeds.  I am a
meticulous groomer hence my rate sheet for grooming is by the month as I choose to bathe
your dog once, twice or whatever it takes to please me and my standards.  I attend
Westminster KC and the AKC/Eukanuba event.  I also try to attend National Specialties but
must be booked well in advance.  I have traveled to England to attend Crufts and have
exhibited Gordon Setters, a Brittany and I had the pleasure of winning the Breed in Cardigan
Welsh Corgis in 2006.  Crufts is an invited event and if you are lucky enough to receive an
invitation, at least 9 month of prior paperwork and blood tests are necessary and I would be
glad to help you sort this all out.

Needless to say, handling your show dog is in reality managing your show dog's career..
whether it is to compete a championship or pilot your dog to Best in Show.

I would be honored to be a part of your family while your dog becomes a part of mine.
